Joel Magsig

Joel Magsig is the COO of Revv Aviation.

The son of an Air Force F-4 and F-16 fighter pilot, Joel grew up with a zeal for aviation.  He went to college in the Midwest at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in Terre Haute, IN, where he majored in Mechanical Engineering and later received his MBA from the University of Phoenix.  He is passionate about efficiency, standardization, and quality.  Joel’s personal aviation career started with the US Army, where as an aviator, he was tasked with leading and commanding units which flew diverse aircraft, notably, the UH-1 Huey, the AH-64 Apache, the OH-58 Jet Ranger, and the Russian-made Mi-17.  Retiring in 2014, Joel earned three bronze stars for his multiple combat deployments.

After his Army service, Joel has continued to lead aviation companies where his myriad skills have had measurable impacts affecting the bottom line. From business development to program management, to flight training when he taught the Afghan Air Force advanced weapons and tactics in the MD-530 little bird, his flexibility and problem solving approach have affected outcomes across the aviation spectrum.

Most recently, Joel led a company he founded from an initial start-up to a successful government contracting company, earning over $8Mil in revenue in its first four years of existence.  In his former CEO role, he sold aviation maintenance and training services worldwide, focusing on austere locations such as Lebanon, Afghanistan, Uganda, and Malaysia.

Joel moved to Revv because he firmly believes in the mission, people, and values of this company.  He is intensely focused on maintaining the wonder and accessibility of General Aviation in the heartland of America.
