Quad City Airshow at Revv Davenport

The Quad City Airshow, hosted at Revv Davenport, saw another exciting weekend of aerial displays. Evan Hopper, Vice President of the Quad City Air Show, remarked on the favorable conditions, stating, “With the overcast skies and manageable wind, attendees felt comfortable. We closely monitored the weather and had support on hand to assist with any heat-related issues.”

Attendance figures reflected strong community support, with at least 60,000 attendees in 2023 and 80% of that attendance recorded this year. The Quad City Airshow is the largest airshow in the State of Iowa.

Hopper reminisced about the show’s origins, founded by his father Ken in 1988, and expressed joy in seeing dedicated volunteers and attendees. “It’s the people, their passion for aviation, and their willingness to help out every year that make this event special,” he said.

Katie Taylor and Liam Sheppeard, attendees of the airshow, shared their experiences. Taylor appreciated the variety of planes, while Sheppeard found pride in the communal celebration of aviation. “It’s just nice to see people come out and share their passion; it makes you proud to be an American,” Sheppeard commented.
