Erik McDonough
Vice President and Director of Operations
Erik McDonough began his aviation journey in 2010 at Carver Aero in Muscatine, working the line under Mike Woerly—now Revv Aviation’s Director of Charter Operations. He completed his flight training there, progressing from Private Pilot to Certified Flight Instructor.
In his first year instructing in Arkansas, Erik logged an impressive 987 hours—a testament to his dedication and work ethic early in his career. He returned to Carver Aero in 2015 to continue instructing and flying charter, eventually becoming Chief Pilot at Revv Aviation in 2022 and stepping into the role of Director of Operations the following year.
Erik holds a Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Sciences from Utah Valley University. His passion for aviation was sparked early by his grandfather’s work at McDonnell-Douglas, his father’s military service, and countless visits to aviation museums. His leadership today is deeply shaped by his upbringing in hockey and the work ethic instilled by his father.
One of Erik’s proudest accomplishments is earning FAA check airman status. He takes great pride in helping pilots grow within the charter system, guiding them to reach captain—a pivotal milestone in any pilot’s career.
Now, as Vice President and Director of Operations, Erik is focused on honoring the legacy of Carver Aero and Revv Aviation while fostering a culture where employees feel respected, supported, and empowered to thrive.
