As you progress forward in your aviation career, you may consider becoming a Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) to build flight time quickly. Training others to fly is a challenging and rewarding experience that brings to bear all you have learned during your own flight training. Instructors share knowledge, experience, and insight with their students. For most pilots, it is the first job that earns them a paycheck while flying.

At Revv Aviation, we’ll teach you everything you need to become a Certified Flight Instructor. The process will require you to improve basic flying skills, master advanced flight maneuvers, and demonstrate to an FAA approved examiner that you can. Effectively teach others. Over time, you will become a very knowledgeable and skilled pilot who is privileged to train and endorse other pilots.

Federal Aviation Administration Requirements
General:
- Be at least 18-years old
- Be able to read, speak and understand the English language
- Hold an FAA 3rd class medical certificate
- Pass a fundamentals of teaching test, a knowledge test, and a practical flight test.
- Commercial Certificate is required
Flight Requirements:
Minimum of 250-hours of total flight time:
- 100-hours in powered aircraft
- 100-hours pilot-in-command flight time
- 50-hours in airplanes; and
- 50-hours of cross-country flight
- 20-hours of training including:
- 10-hours of instrument training
- 10-hours of training in complex aircraft
- 1-2-hour day cross country of 100+ NM
- 1-2-hour night cross country of 100+ NM
- 1-cross country flight not less than 300 NM total distance with landings at 3-points, one must be 250 NM from the departure point.
Note: The minimum experience requirements are set by the FAA. Completion of the course will depend upon the competency of the individual.
